ID Verification & Uploaded Documents
To maintain a safe, authentic, and trusted platform, Goodweds may require users to submit government-issued identification documents (such as Aadhaar Card, Driving License, Passport, or similar) solely for the purpose of identity verification.
All photographs or documents submitted for ID verification are processed through secure systems and used strictly for verification purposes only.
Automatic Deletion: Once verification is completed (approved or rejected), all ID verification photos and documents are automatically and permanently deleted from our servers. These documents are not stored, reused, or shared beyond what is required to complete verification.
ID documents are never used for matchmaking, profiling, advertising, or marketing.
Data Retention & Account Deletion
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to provide our services and comply with applicable Indian laws.
Account Deletion: When you delete your Goodweds account, we permanently delete or anonymize all personally identifiable information (PII), including profile data, photos, chats, preferences, and verification-related data from our active systems.
After account deletion, we do not retain any personally identifiable information that can identify you, except where limited retention is required for legal compliance, fraud prevention, or lawful government requests under Indian law.
